When to go.

Accommodation.
You can choose between two types of accommodation, hotel or holiday cottage.

Hotel de Tārbena. This two-star family run hotel is located in the village centre. The owner, Paco Molines-Ripoll, has restored the former farm-workers house into a comfortable and welcoming hotel.

Prices are based on two sharing a double or twin bedroom, the singles prices assume at least two other walkers. We can accept singles on their own, price on application. Rooftop suites with terraces are available as extras.

Hotel Casa Lehmi. A luxury four-star hotel located in quiet countryside outside the village with swimming pool, tennis courts, sauna plus many other extras and offer a special mid-week package for both guided and self guided walks.

Holiday cottages. We have a variety of holiday cottages available. All are converted farm-workers houses located in the village and sleep from two up to ten.  Prices are based on two sharing a double or twin bedroom.

We recommend As Tunel as first choice for our guests (sleeps two), it has outside terraces with views of the mountains and nearly an acre of grounds.

Meals.
Hotels. Half-board includes breakfast and either lunch or supper. In general the Spanish have their main meal at midday and we usually follow this custom but we can arrange for an evening main meal if you prefer.

Lunch may be taken in one of six restaurants in the village or may be a paella cooked by Esperanza and eaten outside in the shade of an olive tree.

We can also offer bed and breakfast if you wish to make your own arrangements for lunch and supper.

Holiday cottages. Here you have the full choice of self-catering, half or full board. Half and full-board arrangements as above except that breakfast is not included.

Excursions.
In the afternoons you have a choice of things to do, you can go for a self-guided walk, sleep the siesta or go on one of our excursions to sites of interest in the area. These cost 18€ per person for a minimum of three.

Local holidays.
Easter, Christmas and some Bank Holidays are periods when charges for holiday cottages and hotel rooms increase significantly. See prices for peak season rates.

Before you go.
Prior to your departure we will send you our booklet with full details; what to bring, emergency contact details and everything else you need to need to know before you arrive.

You will also need to bring an E111 or European Health Card for emergency medical treatment and you
must take out holiday insurance that includes cover for walking as a leisure activity, mountain rescue, repatriation and preferably a cancellation policy
